Canada Pension Plan Disability (CPPD) Benefits are designed to provide partial income replacement to eligible CPP contributors
who are under the age of 65 with a severe a prolonged disability as defined in the Canada Pension Plan legislation. However, it is
not enough that the applicant meet the test of disability that is both long term and of indefinite duration – they must also meet the
minimum qualifying period (MQP) of contributions to CPP for a certain number of years.
Facing a denial for your Canada Pension Plan Disability benefits (CPPD) can be a challenging and frustrating experience. At Reyes
Tam Law, our commitment is to you. Our goal is to help you navigate the complexities of the CPP Disability Claims process so that
they are clear and understandable. To qualify for CPP Disability, your medical condition must be both severe and prolonged, making
it difficult for you to secure and maintain employment. Our dedicated team is here to collaborate with you, guiding you through the
process, providing counsel, and advocating for your rights every step of the way.
Please see the CPPD General Division decision, overturning the Minister of Employment and Social Development’s denial of
benefits to our client SF after Reyes Tam Law intervened and won the appeal.
